*** The particulars for November are a bit up in the air just now, as we sort out this whole Thanksgiving thing. *** When you attend the meeting, bring a hand craft to work on. We have had things like carving, chain maille, knitting, jewelry making, sewing, drawing, painting, bead making, graphic design, needle felting, gocco printing, button making, doll making, and clothing deconstruction. If your particular interest is not easily portable, come anyway, bring photos if you have them, and enjoy the lively conversation and creative atmosphere. The meeting room may remind you of your grade school Art Room. It is equipped with large tables and chairs, and there is plenty of room to spread out. You are welcome to make whatever mess you can clean up. The lighting is adequate for most work, but if your project is detailed, you may wish to bring a portable lamp. Electricity and water are available. Cookies, snacks and beverages are ~always~ welcome. Conversation covers a wide range of artistic and business topics. Lots of networking takes place and collaborations do get sparked, so remember to bring a handful of business cards! The Kennedy Heights Art Center has welcomed us with open arms. The building is conveniently located, with a city bus stop at the corner. The Center is actually an historic mansion, set back a bit from the street. The area is quiet, and parking is well lit. Hobby Nights are typically: Last Saturday of the month 6:00 - 9:00 PM *FREE* (no dues of any kind) Kid-friendly!
