Meetup Groups are today's support groups, parent playgroups, citizen groups, fitness groups, book clubs, professional groups, and other powerful local groups!

in the first meeting, we will introduce ourselves in a casual atmosphere, and talk about what it is we are creating, or have created. each person will chat about their particular craft, product, and /or items(s). we will decide on how to proceed with the group. remember , this is a group devoted to making hand crafted items and selling them and/or promoting them on the internet - so come with ideas, this is to help each other and to empower each other. men and women welcome.
--- dont worry about where the meetings will be. we will try to have a different location each month and it will be announced, and once i know who is in the group, we will take a poll depending on the members, and try to accomodate people's wishes. at any rate, live your dream, and above all - USE YOUR CREATIVITY.

    i am looking forward to meeting other creative types who want to build a community, use the internet and network to promote their crafts/designs to the buying public, and leave the 9 to 5 behind. use the essence of who YOU are, and reconcile your work with what you enjoy doing --- and make a living at the same time. USE YOUR CREATIVITY ABOVE ALL!!

    • “ some very good points were brought up at the meeting - it was small, three of us showed up, and we covered the points on my list. i would have liked to see more members come to the meeting, but the attendees showed they are serious and enthusiastic about the mission here. we will grow the group and revise policies and guidelines along the way. a creative bunch with business sense and sales experience -- let's put it to work, while not forgetting the inspirational basis of this group... ”
    • “ The two other people I met were just wonderful and I'd love for them to become my friends. Our conversation flowed easily. That in itself is extremely important for a group to actually unite! I learned that my craft is not exactly what is described as art, rather a gimmick. I felt badly about that but not enough to quit. I off to search for my artisan self. I have it inside me! ”
